On World Cancer Day, we would like to introduce a group we are proud to support – Texans Protecting Parenthood After Cancer. More than 7,000 Texans between the ages of 15 and 39 will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Cancer treatments can permanently effect reproduction and parenthood – fundamental life functions worthy of the highest levels of protection. Cancer patients have a short window of time to obtain the resources necessary to preserve fertility before starting potentially sterilizing cancer treatments. Without insurance coverage, treatments are unaffordable for many patients. We are working to change that.
